In accordance with those portions of the Indiana Code which are applicable, the Board of County Commissioners may declare that a snow emergency exists in Jasper County whenever the County has been or is expected to be subjected to blizzard and inclement weather conditions including sub-zero temperatures, high winds and drifting snow to the extent that normal functions of the County departments and use of the County roads are impossible.
