Pursuant to IC 36-7-14 through 36-7-25 (the Act), all of the territory within the boundaries of the County, except that within a municipality that has a redevelopment commission, will constitute a special taxing district to be known as the Jasper County Redevelopment District (the “Redevelopment District”) for the purpose of levying and collecting special benefit taxes for redevelopment and economic development purposes as provided in the Act. The Board finds and determines that all of the taxable property within the Redevelopment District will be considered to be benefited by the redevelopment projects and economic development projects carried out under the Act to the extent of the special taxes levied under the Act.
