A. Established. The Board of Commissioners does determine that a need exists for the creation of a Police K-9 Donation Fund whereby all charitable donations received for the support of the Police K-9 in their efforts to purchase, provide training, equipment and care of one police K-9 dog, shall be deposited in the fund.

B. Use of Revenues. The funds received and deposited in the Jasper County Sheriff’s Police K-9 Fund shall be used as provided by the Jasper County Sheriff, the Board of Commissioners and as appropriated by the Jasper County Council.

C. Termination of Fund. The Jasper County Sheriff’s Police K-9 Fund shall remain in existence and remain perpetual in its terms until amended or terminated by subsequent ordinance enacted by the Board of Commissioners; and, if a subsequent ordinance is enacted to terminate the fund, the balance therein shall be transferred to the Jasper County General Fund unless otherwise provided by ordinance.
