2.100.090 Communications and control.

A. Communications. All communications facilities of Jasper County shall be utilized during an emergency and be coordinated by the designated communications officer, who shall assign priorities in the use of such equipment. Details are in the communications annex.

B. Control.

1. The Emergency Authority. Upon declaration of an emergency, the Jasper County Chief Executive will assume control of emergency operations.

2. Emergency Operations Center.

a. In order for Jasper County to effectively control operations under larger-scale emergency disaster conditions, an emergency operations center will be established in which decision-making officials can meet for dire conversation and decision-making and from which all disaster forces will be directed, such location designated by the Chief Executive.

b. Upon declaration of an emergency, the Jasper County Chief Executive will assume control of emergency operations. [Ord. 8-5-91B § 6; Code 1988 § 130.06(D).]
