The purpose of the Local Disaster Emergency Plan of Jasper County is to organize all elements of the County governments into a disaster force capable of operating before, during, and after a natural, manmade or enemy-caused disaster and to provide reserve forces capable of supporting the governmental agencies that have a disaster role. The primary need for this organization and the supporting forces is to lessen the effects of any disaster, thereby protecting the lives and property of Jasper County.
