Paved parking lots may be designed to provide temporary detention storage of storm waters on all or a portion of their surfaces. Outlets will be designed so as to empty the stored waters slowly. Depth of storage must be limited to a maximum depth of six inches so as to prevent damage to parked vehicles and so that access to parked vehicles is not impaired. Ponding should, in general, be confined to those positions of the parking lots farthest from the area served. [Ord. 12-1-97C § 15(J).]
