Any person who does not comply with any provision of this chapter will be deemed to have committed a violation and upon conviction shall be fined not more than $500.00 for the first violation and not more than $1,000 for the second and each subsequent violation. Each day a violation continues after expiration of the time set forth for compliance in any order issued pursuant to this chapter shall constitute a separate violation.

Any person who violates any provisions of this chapter shall become liable to Jasper County for any expense (including attorney fees), loss, or damage incurred due to the violation.

Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to bar, abridge, or limit use of other legal remedies available to the Health Officer for the abatement of private or public nuisances. [Ord. 08-14-23 § 3; Ord. 8-5-91B § 3; Code 1988 § 72.99.]
