A. Normally, no person, persons, or firms shall clean or construct any ditches within the right-of-way of any County highway.

B. No person, persons, or firms shall fill any ditch on County highway rights-of-way without first contacting the Superintendent of the Jasper County Highway Department, in person, for permission.

C. Any person, persons, or firms shall apply in person to the Jasper County Highway Department Superintendent for permission to clean or construct any ditches on County highway rights-of-way before doing so.

D. Any person in violation of this chapter may be fined not more than $300.00 or the total cost of repairing the damaged area as determined by the Jasper County Superintendent of Highways, whichever is the larger amount. [Ord. 5-2-94B § 1; Code 1988 § 117.01.]
